The much awaited IIFA function was held in Macau and stars from Indian cinema walked the green carpet that is the main award function in their favorite designer outfit. Few opted to showcase their desi style and few flaunted their western oomph. Few drew applauds for their dressing sense and few got a thumbs down for their weird dressing at the IIFA main event.
She was the centre of attraction at the award function. She looked extremely gorgeous and elegant in a black saree. Her saree which was made in sheer fabric had huge golden border with red piping over golden borders. She teamed her saree with black blouse which had beautiful work done with gold wires. She accessorized her look with big danglers and golden bracelets. Her hair was crunched and tied loosely on back.
He looked hot in a black three piece tuxedo and black bow tie. He wore a white shirt and black shoes. His short stubble gave him a raw appeal. He was looking very classy and urbane.
Vidya this time went for Anand Kabra collections and he did not disappoint her as the actress looked a complete sophisticated diva in a black lehenga and off white long sleeved blouse. Her saree had work in dull gold. She had pleated her hair on one side of the shoulder.
She looked fabulous in an off shoulder and strapless gown with straight silhouette. She had kept her hair gathered towards one side.
She chose to be different. Breaking the monotony of black and golden, she chose a strapless gown in two contrasting shades of green. While the upper body was in light green, the lower body was in dark green. Her gown was designed by Swapnil Shinde. She wore a golden belt.
It was a welcome change for Huma. She wore a dark colored Nikhil Thampi gown. The gown had a fish tail cut with long winged sleeves. She wore a dark copper colored belt. She had kept her hair flat. She was looking glamorous.
He went traditional and wore a long bandhgala prince coat and loose pajamas. His dress had dark blue color and it went well with well toned physique.
He went safe and chose to wear a dark colored suit and dark colored tie over a white shirt. His suit had satin border. He looked smart.
At the IIFA rocks 2013 green carpet, she was one of the worst dressed celebrities. She wore a black and silver studded short jacket which had cap sleeves and black taffeta open ball skirt and black cigarette pant. It was designed by Naeem Khan. Hollywood celebrity Elaina Watley wore a similar gown at the Met Galaheld in May 2013. Her hairdo was also not impressive.
It’s true that metro sexual guys experiment with different colors and they do not shy away from wearing any color. But it was also said that the attire was supposed to have a spark. Abhishek Bachchan stunned everybody when he wore a plain pink coat-jacket over denim trousers. The jacket had no elements of surprise.
She wore a black pleated gown with a deep plunging neck. It was too monotonous and pleats were wide. The gown just didn’t suit either the occasion or pretty Richa.
Minissha wore a burgundy Ayesha Depala strapless gown. She looked like an old trunk of tree. It was a textured gown with threads dangling from the fabric. She had tightly tied her hair down. Her girlish appeal was no where seen.
It was a shocker as Shahid made an appearance in a pair of printed shirt and trousers for an award function. Though the combination was fine, it was a turn down for a mega event.
At the green carpet, Neha wore a white false collar and a black net gown. She looked more like a lawyer. Her dress was designed by Atsu. For hair, she went for Bottega Veneta knot. She definitely needs to get fashion tips from best dressed divas of Bollywood.
For the green carpet, she chose Dolce and Gabbana short dress and Louboutin pumps. She also wore Nitya Arora bracelets in both the wrists. Her dress had under wires which gave it an hour glass look. It was strapless in wine color. The dress did not suit her petite figure.
