Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Returns’ is marching ahead at the box office number game. The film that met with a spectacular start at the box office has now gone ahead of Kangana Ranaut’s critically and commercially acclaimed ‘Queen’.
According to a report in Koimoi, ‘Singham Returns’ has collected Rs 91.55 crores in just four days. There is no doubt that ‘Singham Returns’ will make Rs 100 crore soon but with the collections so far, the film has become the sixth highest grosser of 2014. Not just ‘Queen’, Rohit Shetty directed ‘Singham Returns’ that also stars Kareena Kapoor has taken over the lifetime collections of ‘Gunday’ and Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.
Currently, ‘2 States’ and ‘Ek Villain’ stand ahead of ‘Singham Returns’ in the box office race considering both these films have touched the magical Rs 100 crore number. But looking at the successful run of ‘Singham Retuns’ at the BO, it will soon overtake them as well.
Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer ‘Kick’ is at the numero uno position currently after making Rs 231.5 crore. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday’ comes second this year after making Rs 112.65 crore as per Koimoi. Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ stands tall on the third position with Rs 111 in its account.
