Some movies become the talk of the town even before they hit the floors. This might be due to many reasons. One of them might be the casting of the leads in the film. Sometimes, the first choices for the leads don’t work out which makes it difficult for the makers to look for other options. At the moment, the makers of Remo D’souza’s dance flick starring Varun Dhawan are facing this issue. Katrina Kaif was cast opposite Varun. However, due to some professional commitments, she had to back out of the film.

Earlier, there were reports that Shraddha Kapoor is the frontrunner for this film after Katrina’s exit. However, now as per new developments, we have learnt that another actress is also in the running. Yes, the buzz is that Sara Ali Khan is also being considered for this role. As per a source who quoted to DNA, “With Shraddha on board, it would be a reunion of the ABCD 2 trio, along with Varun and Remo. They have an equation and that would help in their collaborating on another dance flick. The other strong contender for the role is Sara Ali Khan. She has proved her acting chops in Kedarnath and has been appreciated in Simmba too. Signing her would also mean a fresh new onscreen pair. And Varun and Sara together are bound to generate tremendous buzz for this dance movie. So yes, the makers are definitely looking at the advantage of casting Sara for the film”

Now, this surely raises the audiences’ hope of seeing a fresh pairing on screen in the form of Varun and Sara. Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan’s latest outing, Simmba, is doing wonders at the box office and is being loved by the audience. Simmba is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead. Last year, Sara debuted in the industry with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath and was liked in the same as well. If Sara is the choice for this film, then it would surely add another feather to her cap.
