Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, that will see Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt pairing up for the first time on screen, is easily one of the most-awaited films.
According to a fresh report on Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker has shortlisted locations in Varanasi and Uttarakhand. Scenes featuring the house of Alia’s character will supposedly be shot there. Among the prime shoot locations are also the beaches of Miami. Since both Salman and Alia have a huge fan base across the world, high-level security has been hired by the director for the two stars.
For Bhansali, who has been directing intense dramas such as Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat for the last couple of years, Inshallah is a “new chapter.” Talking about shifting gears, he had earlier told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a younger film, the kind I’ve wanted to make for a long time after all the dark, intense, over dramatic ones. Life is not only about dark nights, it’s also about beautiful, sunshiny mornings. It’s a new chapter for me as a filmmaker.”
Inshallah is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Eid 2020. Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, that stars Akshay Kumar as the main protagonist, was earlier slotted for release on the same day. However, the two parties reached a mutual agreement and Sooryavanshi was shifted to March 27, thereby averting a high-voltage clash.
Salman’s last release, Bharat, turned out to be a major box-office success. The period drama collected over Rs 207 crore in its lifetime run
