Rihanna sent her dad a ventilator during his reported COVID-19 illness!!
Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, is reportedly recovering from COVID-19 in his Barbados home after spending 14 days in the Paragon Isolation Center. The singer turned fashion designer played a major role in his recovery.
Ronald shared that his daughter (born Robyn Fenty) checked on him daily and even sent a ventilator to his home following his diagnosis.
“My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day,” he explained. “I thought I was going to die to be honest,” he said of the symptoms he experienced, including a fever. “She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”
Ronald is reportedly virus-free now, but he urged everyone to follow the advice given by organizations like the World Health Organization to stay home.
“I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation. More serious than people realize. Please stay home,” he said.
Rihanna hasn’t just been lending her support to her father. The 32-year-old also helped with coronavirus efforts on a global level by donating money to multiple organizations that directly support things like food banks, virus testing and treatment and providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to those on the frontlines.
In March, it was first reported that Rihanna’s nonprofit organization, the Clara Lionel Foundation, had donated $5 million to Direct Relief, Feeding America, Partners In Health, The World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and International Rescue Committee.
Rihanna also teamed up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and rapper Jay-Z to provide additional support in the combined amount of $6.2 million. The singer’s latest donations will also benefit various organizations helping to battle coronavirus and its many effects, including providing help to victims of domestic abuse.
