LAHORE: Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) opened its first Interiors & Furniture Expo yesterday on April 12th, where Pakistan’s Top interior designers and furniture manufacturers have displayed their work at Lahore Expo Center. Renowned architect Nayyer Ali Dada inaugurated the event. The three day exhibition will continue till April 14, 2013 from 11am to 8pm and is open to public.
Interiors Pakistan Expo by the PFC is a step towards initiating international trade exhibitions, along with an agenda to participate in international fairs as a collaborative industry from Pakistan.
PFC CEO and Chairman Chen One Mian Kashif Asfaq stated, “Interiors Pakistan Expo is the first of its kind and serves as a platform for upcoming and young interior designers to exhibit their work under one roof. The exhibition will create opportunities for interior designers and furniture manufacturers to work together for the progress of the industry while giving young participants a chance to display their designs & products.”
PFC Board of Directors Member & CEO Mohkam Furnishers, Maqbool Illahi, elaborated further, “PFC has taken upon the responsibility as being the patron of furniture trade in Pakistan. This platform aims to operate for the collective interest of the designers, manufacturers and retailers of furniture nationwide. Our core lies in sustainable development and effective marketing of local products in Pakistan and abroad. Through this exhibition, PFC has laid the foundations for like-minded individuals to come together and work towards a focal goal.”
Interiors Pakistan Expo is a project of Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) and is planned as bi-annual Exhibitions in all the major cities of Pakistan, with Lahore as the first venue.
