Since its inception in 1996, Shawana Afzal’s brainchild, Lajwanti, has grown to become one of the biggest brands in bridal couture and prêt business in Pakistan. Following the unmatched success of Lajwanti, Shawana Afzal, also known as Ana, co-founded Tehxeeb in 2011, a multi-brand mall that provides its customers tailor-made solutions to all their wedding needs and desires. With a studio in Tehxeeb, one main outlet in Gulberg Mall One, and various other outlets throughout Pakistan while also stocking in Dubai and London, Lajwanti is ensuring that it is truly a fashion house to be reckoned with.

With participation in more than 30 shows around the world, Lajwanti reserves the credit for numerous milestone achievements in the Pakistani fashion industry. Lajwanti bagged the Best Bridal Designer Award 2002 in the Bride and Groom Show held in India. In 2001, Lajwanti held the biggest fashion show in Pakistan with 55 models from all over South Asia.

With a prolific background, Lajwanti operates a production house in Gulberg III block, with over 150 highly-skilled employees who help in the production of Lajwanti’s collections. Now registered as an SMC Pvt. Ltd. Company, Lajwanti has proven itself to be one of Pakistan’s leading couture brands and is now focusing on making the nation proud with operations throughout the world.
