Nomi Ansari will be showcasing a bridal collection titled “Gul” at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2014. Drawing inspiration from flowers – all and any – the collection carries the glory of the past on its elaborate, timeless pieces that are pure yet contemporary in a modern sense. It is an ode to the vintage era, showcasing our cultural heritage which to date influences our sense of dressing and style. It is a perfect marriage of the old and contemporary, the known and the forgotten, a celebration of style with rare embroidery techniques and packaged in a vibrant, colourful fashion – an aesthetic that has come to define the label.
The ‘Gul’ collection is a mix of net, velvet, silk, and satin, including printed fabrics, which are especially commissioned to the local craftsmen who to this day, follow the age-old techniques of hand work. The designs and motifs used in the embroidery or digitally printed are all Nomi Ansari originals. The collection also showcases groom’s wear in a mix of traditional and edgy, contemporary looks. The cuts are a mix of old and new silhouettes, put together to incorporate vintage with modern for today’s man and woman. The signature Nomi Ansari colour palette has been used that is a wonderful celebration of colours in lighter hues and tones for the subtle vibe in a delicate but beautiful light.
