Kidswear brand Hopscotch launched with a flagship store in Lahore!


Hopscotch, a new Western kidswear label for boys and girls aged between 0-5, launched their first store in Lahore on 4th April 2014 at the prestigious Gulberg Galleria. Drawing from the playfulness of the popular ‘hopping’ childhood game and inspired by the simple, effortless pleasures of childhood, Hopscotch embraces color, simplicity and playfulness as its brand and design philosophy. The brand is set to open a second store in DHA Lahore mid April 2014.

The event was well attended by members of the press, fashion community and social personalities alike, all with their children for a launch event full of kid friendly interactive activities such as drawing, colouring, playing the hopscotch game live and a custom photo booth. The event was managed by Bilal Mukhtar Events, with Public Relations by Lotus. The Hopscotch flagship store has been designed by Farhana Abdullah of Surround Architects.

Hopscotch is the brainchild of entrepreneurial couple and duo, Romana Abdullah and Harris Syed who wanted to create a clothing brand that both kids and their parents would love. The brand is committed to providing premium quality, fashionable apparel and related accessories in a friendly shopping environment. Along with a full array of clothes for kids up to 5 years, Hopscotch is also providing a selection of supporting articles that a new baby needs – bibs, booties, mittens, caps, blankets, wash cloths and towels. Additionally, the brand also provides accessories such as shoes, hats, jewellery, hair clips/bands and sunglasses. It also carries a limited selection of toys and school bags. For their Spring/Summer 2014 collection, the Hopscotch design team has been inspired by the symbols and motifs that every child grows up with, including polka dots, stripes, flowers, race cars, stars and pretty bows. The entire collection is cheery, bright and plays with different prints and unique textures.

The idea to introduce a kidswear brand was born from our struggle as parents to find good quality and trendy clothes for our kids in this market which are not outrageously priced. Hopscotch’s first standalone store is located at the Gulberg Galleria, Shop # 1, 18, Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, Lahore.
