One of most anticipated festival of foodies and families, ‘Masala Family festival’ recently held in Lahore. Attended by thousands of people, the festival provided families with an opportunity to enjoy a perfect day out, meet their favourite Masala chefs, shop to their hearts content, watch live cooking demonstrations by their favourite Masala chefs and purchase autographed copies of their cookbooks.
The Event was scheduled at Lahore Expo Centre for two days. The visitors got the Opportunity to ask some questions and deliver their compliments live.
This initiative was taken by Masala Television where families experienced different type of dishes and learnt many things from the best chefs of Pakistan at one place. The Festival appealed a large number of audiences in Pakistan.
Different brands come up with stalls displaying their products. One could easily find things of his interest. There was something for everyone there. For the interest of women, hair testing was provided free of cost by head-n-shoulders.
For kids entertainment stalls were there, Children were attracted by face painting. Different IQ games were also played for which a small gift hamper was given to the winner child.
People were given chance to win bumper prizes including motorbikes, washing machines and other appliances via lucky draw. The best part of Festivals like these is discovering new products or food movements.
All major companies were part of the event and families enjoyed entertainment session while eating delicious food, a whole comfortable and secured environment was provided by Hum TV for families. Best chefs of Pakistan: Zubaida Tariq, Tahir Chaudhary, Shireen Anwar, Abeel Jawed, Zarnak Sidhwa were the part of the event. Families met them and got suggestions, while Zubaida Apa gave advice to the families on their questions.Apart from having a chance to interact with their favourite chefs, this year the audiences were treated to a surprise visit by the morning show diva and host of HUM Sitaray’sSitaray Ki Subha, ‘ShaistaLodhi’. The audiences cheered and applauded as she took the stage and interacted with them.
A visitor, named Uzma shared her experience about the festival. “ I am glad that I come here and attended it with my family. My kids enjoyed it. It is the most thrilling family festival for us. This is a great opportunity for food lovers too.’’
Visitors also had a field day shopping as all major FMCG companies were part of the event, selling everything from household appliances, food items and crockery to jewellery, clothing and much more. To satiate the appetites of the visitors, the organisers had arranged for lots of food and drinks stalls as well. The festival concluded on a high note with performance by underground bands from Lahore who performed to audiences’ requests and received applause and appreciation from the attendees.
