Heropanti – A Typical Love Story

Starring: Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Prakash Raj, Sandeepa Dhar and Vikram Singh.

Director: Sabbir Khan

Hero is the person who everyone looks forward to. He is the star, the actor on who the entire story revolves on. In Bollywood a hero is known for his romantic facet which has been explored and presented since ever on the silver screen and it can never go out of fashion.

When a superstar’s kid makes its debut in the Bollywood cinemas it can’t go without notice. Our latest actor to join the pack is Tiger Shroff (real name is Jai Hemant Shroff) son of Jackie Shroff. Jackie Shroff is known for his acting and has a respectable image in the Indian history Tiger Shroff’s debut in ‘Heropanti’ is a remake of the Telugu Hit ‘Parugu’.

The story is a typical love story that gives its lead actor ample scope to show his heroism and make place in the audience’s heart. The story rotates around Chaudhary’s (Prakash Raj) eldest daughter (Sandeepa Dhar) who elopes with her boyfriend minutes before her marriage. In order to that Bablu (Tiger Shroff) and his other friends are kidnapped in search of the couple. Apparently Bablu has lost his heart to Dippy (Kriti Sanon), who happens to be Chaudhary’s younger daughter. Messy isn’t it?

Director Sabbir Khan brings a lot of twists, turns to keep the story engrossing and give a fun time to the viewers. It was a masala movie which is the trend in Bollywood lately. It will keep you hooked to the movie till end it might be predictable but most Bollywood movies have become that way but it won’t make you lose interest. The climax of the movie had traces of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ but it completely justified the movie. The songs were top on the chart; they were peppy and youth centric. From ‘This is The Pappi song’ to ‘Whistle Baja’ all would leave a note in your mind hours after watching the movie also.

This was Tiger and Kirti’s first movie and both acted well. Tiger has been the meme on Facebook a lot due to his appearance but the good news is, he delivers a striking performance. His acting was up to the mark which I am sure made his father go proud, Tiger did all the stunts himself without a body double. He is not like Abhishek Bachchan to have his father’s height but took years to polish his acting skills. Tiger has proved his acting which is inherited from his father. Kirti who is an engineering student managed to gain attention on the screen from her looks to acting everything was marvelous and surely has a long way to go.

On the whole, ‘Heropanti’ is structured as a launch pad for Tiger if he didn’t make a positive space in one’s mind people do remember him in some way or the other. He will definitely groom and make a mark in the industry.
