The bubbly actress of our Industry Hania Amir recently posted on her Instagram a no makeup picture in which we can clearly see her acne problem and how she is dealing with that besides being a celebrity. The posted garnered attention of fellow celebrities and had been appreciated by them as to stand up against the norm of having beautiful skin all the time. In the posted she asked the question apparently to the society,”Why is my skin defining me? Who has made these beauty standards that we always feel the need to match? […] I know that the idea of being “perfect” is appealing to majority but you don’t need to be an airbrushed flawless image to feel beautiful.”
The response to her honesty was tremendous with the post garnering over 120,000 likes and thousands of comments. Several celebrities like Meesha Shafi and Syra Shahroz supported her for being such an honest observant and breaking norms of being beautiful apart from the fact that it’s under her niche to stay flawless all the time!
An uninvited comment by Yasir Hussain left us all spell bounded as not only humanly it’s unacceptable but you can’t demoralize your friend like that and least expected from Yasir Hussain as he commented on this situation as DANEDAAR ( Full of pimples)
Hania responded “Forgive my friend. He’s become prone to making inappropriate jokes.”furthermore she brought this issue out , saying: “It’s high time that people realise that it’s not okay to make jokes out of people’s insecurities. Humour is great but be careful with it. Don’t try and act cool about making someone feel bad about what they might consider a flaw. It’s disrespect. Not funny. I’m not laughing. Noone is.”
