Netflix is in negotiations to revive the beloved mother-daughter drama Gilmore Girls, starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, according to The Hollywood Reporter and TV Line.
Netflix is talking with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino about bringing back Rory (Alexis) and Lorelai (Lauren) for four 90-minute movies. A source said that production would start early next year. Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007.
Many of the original cast members are in talks to return. But Melissa McCarthy, who played Lorelai’s best friend Sookie St. James, may not.
