Lahore: Shaukat Khanum in collaboration with Pakistan’s fashion and entertainment industry once again organized the second charity event ‘Festival of Life.’
Following with the success of first festival, this year the event was bigger than last year. The purpose of the event was to donate all the funds in the construction of Pakistan’s second Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Peshawar. Indeed the Festival of Life also hoped to raise funds to help in completing the construction of the structure of the four floors of the Peshawar hospital within 2014.
The event was of full of fun, fashion, festivities and compassion. Different food stalls were set. For kids, play area was also set up in which they played and enjoyed. The main highlight of the event was the set up of fashion lounge by the prestigious Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) and Pepsi in which clothes were donated from over 60 leading designers and retail brands from which around ten lakhs donation was collected. A raffle also held in which many people won dozens of prizes and vouchers.
A number of renowned celebrities and families attended the festival and gave charity. Many children also joined their hands for this cause and gave money. The PR of the event was done by Lotus PR management.
