Fast and Furious 8 to hit theaters on April 14, 2017
LOS ANGELES – It’s time to fasten your seat belts as the most action thriller movie “Fast and Furious 8″ is about to set to hit theaters on April 14, 2017.
Actor and producer Vin Diesel recently shared the first poster of the highly anticipated movie and confirmed that the eighth installment of the action thriller will premiere in 2017.
The 47-year-old action star has said that the upcoming movie will be from his friend Paul Walker, adding: “We’re going to make the best movie you’ve ever seen.”
Diesel confirmed that Furious 8 filming would be in New York. He revealed the information through his Instagram post few days ago, uploading a photo of a seemingly prototype of a movie poster for Fast and Furious 8 with the Brooklyn Bridge on the background.
Aside from Diesel, Statham, and Russell, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also expected to return to the next installment. Eva Mendez from “2 Fast 2 Furious” is reportedly in talks with the producers of the film, as well as “Furious 7’s” director James Wan to lead the production of the upcoming movie.
He also confirmed that the movie will follow Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) in New York after he helped Diesel’s character Dom Toretto in capturing Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in “Furious 7.” Little is revealed about Mr. Nobody’s character in the movie, but it seems that Toretto and his crew will follow him to New York to learn his story.
It is pertinent to mention here that the seventh film in the franchise, “Furious 7,” has now grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide.
It was the last film that Paul Walker, one of the original lead stars of the franchise, worked on before he died in a tragic car accident in 2013.
