Fashion Roundup: Bridal Couture Week 2016

6th May’ 2016, a day people have been looking forward to eagerly had finally come to its start with 3 days of fashion extravaganza! In the happening city of Karachi all the glam was set, lights, camera’s, celeb’s, designers, models, runway and what not? All eyes and ears set on this mega fashion event. Something pioneered five years ago by HUM network with the objective of promoting Pakistan’s bridal industry, Bridal Couture Week had finally come to a start. With exceeding expectations from the viewers, fans and designers each passing show BCW has been making their mark stronger and stronger and has now become the most anticipated fashion show of the industry. With the vigorous efforts of the HUM network and the designers, the audience was left speechless with their flawless magnificent stage all set up for one of the kind fashion show. A stage where not only some of the biggest designers showcase their work and stun the audience  but it also gives new aspiring designers with a great talent nationally and internationally a platform to showcase their hard work.

Bridal Couture Week – The Gold Edition, 3 amazing days of fashion, with each day featuring our renowned masters of the fashion industry. These designers included Fahad Hussayn, Yasmeen Zaman, Erum Khan, MNR Design Studio, Tabassum Mughal, Amina Yasmeen by Mansoor Akram, Naushad Imdad, Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, Bibi London, Deepak Parvani, Umsha Babar, Ayesha Ibrahim, Kuki Concepts, Teena Durrani, Fozia Hammad, Zainab Chotani, Nickie Nina, Rang Ja, Emran Rajpoot, Aisha Imran, Asifa & Nabeel, Amir Adnan, Sonya Battla, Elan, Nida Azwer, Sania Maskatiya, Shamaeel Ansari, The House of Kamiar Rokni, Zara ShahJahan, Umar Sayeed, HSY and Saadia Mirza.

With the Indian Choreographer Ketan Bhatia working his magic with his resounding voice and sensational choreography at the show made the night even more amazing. The beats of the music so perfect in its own that it took the audience under its influence and made them lost in its rhythm perfecting the night its start. With the evening in its full swing, The day  1 with its fantastic line up of designers took its start with the fashion guru Fahad Hussayn who was later followed by Yasmeen Zaman, Erum Khan, MNR Design Studio, Tabassum Mughal, Amina Yasmeen by Mansoor Akram, Naushad Imdad and Saadia Mirza. But what was there at day 1 that took the hearts away? Probably the hot, all so famous show stoppers these designers had? To glam up their walk these designers had something special for their audience. Glamorizing his stage Fahad Hussayn lined up the hot couple of Farhan Saeed & Urwa Hoccain with Hadiqa Kiyani as his show stoppers. Whereas increasing the heat set on the ramp Yasmeen Zaman had Hira & Adnan Hussain as her show stoppers. Following the trend set and putting the ramp on fire our superstar Humaima Malik was MNR Design Studio’s showstopper, Yasir Shah for Naushad Imdad whereas Sana Bucha ending it beautifully and gracefully Sadia Mirza. Isn’t all this enough to set up fire and make a perfect evening? If you’re thinking yes, then what about the official trailer and cast of Yalgaar being revealed on the ramp? Or maybe a live performance by Azfar Hussain? Isn’t it tempting? Wishing to be there on that night to see all this happening along with the hottest stars making the night memorable with their presence such as Humayoun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ayub Khosso, Ayesha Omer, Bilal Ashraf and many more.

Apart from all the glam and fashion, what was the main purpose of organizing such an event? Just to showcase some designs? That’s all we see, but does any of you really know the hard work behind these collections? How they came into being and what made them stand out? Something to wonder and something which no one tells. Well my dear darling readers, your luck, you are about to get a glimpse of this magically world. Well magical might not be the exact right word to describe it, as before it hits the ramp, its all hard work and sleepless nights. Each design needs to be perfect and according to the need and trends, therefore trend boards, mood boards and theme boards are made accordingly and later the designs are extracted according to them.

Moving on Day 2 was not less exciting than the day 1, the glare was seen in the eyes, enthusiasm was drifting in the air and audience was all pumped up to see what their favorite designers has for them. The work was mind blowing, it maintained the flow of the day 1. Day 2 also had the heat of the revolutionary designer but what day 2 had which day 1 did not was the work of renowned designers from India.

Yes you heard it right! London’s leading multi-brand store The Bibi London, exhibited the collections of high-end Indian couture of designers including the ever famous and sizzling Neeta Lulla and Tarun Tahiliani, simply a treat for the fans of Indian culture and their designs.

Moreover, Our Pakistani designers were not less than a heat with Deepak & Fahad, Ayesha Ibrahim, Uzma Babar and Kuki Concepts, Tena Durrani, Fouzia Hammad and Zainab Chottani showcasing their breath taking collections to their ever amazing audience.

The 3rd Day was also incredible as it showcased an implausible line up of fashion designers starting from the popular Nickie Nina followed by Rang Ja, Emraan Rajput, Aisha Imran, Asifa & Nabeel, Amir Adnan, Sonya Batla and the Grand Couturiers. Grand Courtiers included Zara ShahJahan, Kamiar Rokni, Shamael Ansari, Shehrazad, Sania & Umair, Nida Azwer, Umer Sayeed and Elaan. Like in previous days BCW had something for their audience, a spiced up portion of the greatest super models partaking this year from appearance of Nadia Hussain, Sunita Marshal, Fouzai Aman, Areeba Habib, Cybil Chaudry, Nooray Bhatti, Rizwan Ali, Abbas Jafffery, Omer Shehzad amongst some inside acclaimed models. Known for its stars, BCW astonished a line up of famous names to take it to the top; Zahid Ahmed, Yasir Mazhar, Agha Ali and Sammi Khan strolled the slope for Emraan Rajpoot while Sana Javed took the hearts for Asifa and Nabeel and while Junaid Khan inclined for Rang Ja. Whereas Amir Adnan had an outfit for highfliers including Azfar Rehman, Irfan Khan, George Fulton, Noor Hassan, Fahad Mirza, Aijaz Aslam, Wiqar Ali Khan, Moamer Rana, Shehzad Shiekh, Ali Safina, Javaid Shiekh, Ahsan Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Sarwat Gillani and Hira Tareen. Humayoun Sayeed, Sohai Ali Abro, Dr. Jawwad and Mussarat Misbah enlightened the show for Sonya Batla. Wow now that was one heck of a show!

All 3 days Hair & make up was done by favorite team at the fashion shows of Nabilas and N-Gents while the choreography and event direction was beautifully executed by Ketan Bhatia . Whereas the PR was handled by BodyBeat Events & PR as well as the PR department at Hum Network.
