While several fans have spotted the star taking long walks around the city streets, a picture of Emran while in full costume was yet to be revealed. The actor, who was last seen in ‘Hamari Adhoori Kahani’ arrived in London about a month ago to begin preparation for the film. He also said that he was excited to begin work on this project, as it would be his first biopic.
According to reports, the shoot has been extended for another 3 weeks because of heavy downpour in the city.

At the ‘Azhar’ title launch, Emraan expressed his delight to be apart of the project and even recalled how the cricketer first influenced him when he was in class 7. He said that his group of friend would often get scolded in school because, ‘everyone for some reason had started putting their collars up. And there’s this one man to be blamed for that. Azhar Bhai.’

The actor also managed to get Azharuddin’s stamp of approval. The cricketer revealed that he was ‘glad’ Emraan was on board to play him and said, “I think he’s very apt for the role. He’s worked very hard for the role. A lot of people have asked me why Emraan Hashmi. He’s been my favourite actor also.”
The biopic directed by Tony D’Souza, will reportedly highlight the cricketers professional career and his much-talked about affair and marriage to actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Nargis Fakhri has been roped in to play that role, while Prachi Desai will be seen playing his wife Naureen.
