New York– Recently many Pakistani citizens showed their anger and were unpleased after Atif sang an Indian song and left the concert midway. Sang the famous hit “tera hony lga hun’’ ,he has been criticized vigorously on social media on his unintentional mistake as everyone tends to be quite sensitive when it comes to Pakistani Proud.
Pakistani singing sensation Atif Aslam usually has the crowd awestruck with his voice but this was not the case at a recently held Pakistan Day parade in New York City where the star performed
Famous Pakistani singer Muhammad Ali Shaikhi said that it was inappropriate to sing an Indian song at an event held to mark Independence Day. He said national and patriotic songs are usually sung on such occasions, but it was possible that Atif may have sung one of his own songs on request.
“Often we are requested to sing one of our songs. I think Atif may have done that, not realizing whether the song was made in India or Pakistan” said Ali Shaikh. On the contrary, Shafqat Amanat ali has all support to the singer as clarified in his tweet that he should had been briefed about selection of song.
Faisal_kp1 thought that the artist should be forgiven: “Atif aslam was participating in a Jashna-e-Azadi #Concert in New York. He supposed to sing Pakistan’s National songs but he sung a #Indian song. Pakistani community boycotted his concert. I think he made a mistake so let’s forgive him instead declaring him a #GHADAR [traitor].”
Atif Aslam added up that it was of the situation and it was not a serious issue that he sang any other song. “The era of hatred and differences has now ended,” he said.
