Hosted an Exclusive Screening of The T20 World Cup Match

[PAKISTAN, Lahore, 21st March’ 2014]: Cricket enthusiasts were treated to an exclusive screening of the highly anticipated T20 World cup match between Pakistan and India on Friday evening, hosted by at Coffee Planet DHA, Lahore.

Cricket fans turned up at the beginning of the match to share in the excitement and cheer their home team on. More spectators gradually streamed in as the match progressed. The screening was made more fun by in house face painting and guests being treated to a coffee on-the-house for every purchase they made.

Coffee Planet’s CEO Mr Kashif, who was very excited about the screening said “Here in Pakistan we have very few opportunities to have a good time with our families. We encourage families to get together here at Coffee Planet, enjoy the match along with our special coffees and chillers.”

The guests simply relished the chance to catch the game with other cricket lovers. Attendees included pop star Annie Khalid, Junaid Younus, Farhan Albert, models Xille and Athar Amin.

Annie Khalid, who is an avid sports lover herself, said “Even though we lost, it was a great energy filled match and the screening was superb. I had a lot of fun watching it with other sports fans. We should definitely have more such events. I think sports are the most fun when watched with other people.”

Speaking about the event, Junaid Younus said “I think it was a very exciting match…total paisa vasool! The screening was amazing, a good community based thing. Since we don’t have much happening in Pakistan right now, we need to have more activities like these. The food from Coffee Planet is a personal favorite which is another reason for me to come here”.

It was a great effort by to bring people from various fields together where they got a chance to connect with each other through their love for cricket. The crowd cheered on with a lot of energy and it was the perfect way for them to kick start their weekend.
