The event took place on 21st January at Art & Craft village, Shakarparian, Islamabad and began at 10:30am. It was full of food stalls and soulful music for the crowd. The pink decorations including the trees gave a very subtle look to the environment and a lot of opportunities for the people to pose for selfies. The ambiance of the event was full of joy and cheerfulness as everybody was appreciative of the surroundings. The event followed the theme of pink and white which displayed a pleasant mood in the environment.

From Continental to Chinese to Italian, there were stalls for every kind of food. Whether you love to eat cheesy pizzas or wanted to munch on something light, the stalls had everything available for your taste. Food for all taste buds was freshly served at the festival from a diverse range of cuisines. From sushi to waffle, panni puri to dumplings, hareesa to chicken tacos and a lot more where this came from. Chilled margaritas were served to everyone for free by 7UP, which was the official beverage partner for the event.

Our favorites from the event were sushi, red velvet cupcakes and the nutella parathas. Sushi took us to Japan with its traditional sauce and seaweed wrap which melted in our mouths with every bite. After all the food we tasted, desserts took us to places by providing a sweet after taste. Red velvet cupcakes by Sinfully yours were our best pick from all the desserts we had experienced. There was food from every local recognizable brand, including The Waffle House, Istanbul Restaurant and Jessie’s. Not only this but people had brought home cooked food as well for those who like ghar ka khana. In short, all kinds of people were catered for at this event.

To top it all off, bonfire was held in the evening along with the live performances from the bands including Saakin. In all, it helped bring all food lovers together and provided a family atmosphere, comforting everyone who came. The event was a huge success in Islamabad after Lahore and Karachi, opening paths for upcoming events in the near future. We hope to attend more affairs from Foodpanda.
