Action man ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is seeking support for a change in legislation which would allow him to run for president in 2016, according to reports.
The Terminator star cannot currently run for the highest office in the country because he was born in Austria, but the former Governor of California is allegedly eager to return to politics and wants the law to change so he can make a bid for the White House.
A source tells the New York Post, “Schwarzenegger has been talking openly about working on getting the constitutional rules changed so he can run for president in 2016. He is ready to file legal paperwork to challenge the rules.”
The actor, 66, has the right to challenge the law after becoming a U.S. citizen in 1983, but any amendments to the constitution would have to receive a two-thirds majority vote in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Schwarzenegger served as California Governor from 2003 to 2011.
