Amitabh Bachchan is the latest celebrity victim of online abuse, who was forced to lodge a police complaint against an unknown blogger that has reportedly threatened the actor’s family.
Bachchan, 67, posted a note on his blog, Bigb.bigadda.com, highlighting the issue, along with raising questions about the cyber laws in India.The harassment, which has been going on for months, finally came to head when the actor started receiving abusive text messages on his private cell phone, prompting him to involve Mumbai’s finest.
Due to malfunction of social networking sites, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan expressed his dissatisfaction. Highly upset Mr. Bachchan threatened to quit twitter and blog, if it continues to show problem.”Distraught to read comments on malfunction on Twitter and tumblr. blog.. sent warning to concerned – rectify or I go elsewhere,” he tweeted. Big B is highly discomfort over the malfunction.
“My apologies to those that face problems in commenting .. my blog too keeps disappearing .. cannot tolerate discomfort for Ef/TwFmXt,” Big B wrote.
“Travelling again.. with deep concern for Ef/TwFmXt.. stay put for the moment.. otherwise there are ‘many other fish in the sea’,” he added.
It has been learned that not only Bachchan, but also his family, including his two grandchildren by daughter Shweta Nanda, have been targeted.
In his latest blog post, the actor added: “There is a limit to which this can be tolerated. I can be a gentleman up to a point. But beyond that I shall stop being one. You go to the level of so much as touching my family and little innocent grand children and you shall have to pay extremely dearly!! [sic]”He has commented that the Commissioner of Police in Mumbai, along with other government authorities and members of the press – who the actor shares a love-hate relationship – have rallied around the family to show their support.
