This PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013, designer Adnan Pardesy will be showcasing his luxury prèt-a-porter collection, ‘Ellipses’. The collection draws inspiration from the essence of minimalism to project a look that it is entirely glamorous, with a special focus on sequins, kora and threadwork. Trends to look out for in this collection are long structured jackets, off-shoulders dresses, tone-on-tone embroidery, applique work, voluminous gowns and skirts. With a color palette that moves from subtle pastels and dark shades to light blue, light Green, navy, maroon, brown and grey, Ellipses is a complete womenswear collection.
With an acclaimed signature minimalist design ethos, Adnan Pardesy launched his label in 2007 with a vision to create a fashion that is edgy, sharp and modern. A graduate of fashion design from the Asian Institute of Fashion Design (AIFD) in Karachi, Adnan was also been nominated for the prestigious Lux Style Awards in the ‘Best Emerging Talent’ and ‘Best Designer Luxury Prèt’ categories in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Among the Board of Governors of the Asian Institute of Fashion Design in Karachi, Adnan Pardesy has exhibited his collections at a diversity of fashion platforms and stores such as at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, La Atmosphere in Paris and Ogaan in New Delhi. Adnan as also collaborated with high-street brand The Working Woman, entitled, ‘Adnan Pardesy for The Working Woman’ a brand which marks its ramp debut at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week in the high-street segment this season.
