Abrar-ul-Haq’s song Chamkeeli is in hot waters: Lawyers filed petition?

It’s not the first time our dazzling singer Abrar-ul-Haq has suffered backlashes regarding his song and videos. Previously, his song Billo key Ghar rendition at Coke Studio has been taken down due to some reasons. This time Lawyers have criticized the new single the singer named Chamkeeli featuring Shahveer Jafry and Mehwish Hayat. According to the lawyers, man’s masculinity has been challenged in the disguise of Women empowerment. The singer has always been known for corresponding with current country’s situation and society’s changing norms.

This is what lawyers has to say about the song as they filed petition in Lahore Civil Court against singer Abrar ul Haq.

“You decide for yourself after listening to the song and join me in raising my voice against this bias track. You should seek explanation from Abrarul Haq for the blow to the masculinity of the nation,” maintained Rana Adnan.The Civil Judge Ziaur Rahman has adjourned the hearing till December 21, seeking response from Abrar-ul-Haq, PEMRA and others.

Lawyers are emphasizing that the singer should apologise to the people for making this song and video.
