7 Fashion blunders Pakistani Women should avoid

Last updated:

It’s a common saying that your clothes reflect your personality and fashion sense. We hate to admit it, because we personally feel that comfort is more important than fashion but in a world like this there is a constant fashion parade and people are judged by their appearance. One fashion mistake and your whole look goes for a toss. You have to preserve your individuality while following the rules of fashion. Fashion is all about etching your personality and not aping fashion trends blindly. How you choose to dress each morning reflects how you feel about your self and what does fashion mean to you. Mostly women do fashion mistakes which they don’t realize but their mistakes tells other about their fashion sense. Following are some of the mistakes that women make in their wardrobe:

1. Wearing improper fit:

Wearing clothes that don’t fit right is the common mistake that woman do. Too large, too small – it doesn’t really matter, the point is that both can and do look bad and, even worse, make you look bad! Don’t hide in the folds of your baggy outfit and don’t try to squeeze yourself into something just for the sake of being able to say “I’m a size so-and-so”. Your outfit needs to have shape and structure, it needs to show off your best parts, flatter your curves and be kind to your critical spots.

2. Poor choice of material:

Although synthetic materials are generally a valid choice for evening attire not to mention quite a popular ingredient of many well made blends, there comes a time in every woman’s life when she really has to start paying attention to the inner labels, basing her choice on the quality of fabrics used to create a garment in question. I don’t say we should switch to fine silks and whatnot overnight but yes, a quality “basic” piece is definitely worth a whole lot more than five so-and-so items bought on a whim, it will look good for years and will allow you to put together many wonderful not to mention classy looks.

3.  Wearing socks with sandal:

Wearing stocks with sandal style shoes or open toe shoes. Rather than wearing stocks, just moisturize your legs with some Dove daily moisturizer. This will make your legs look glossy and healthy. In the cooler months wear closed toe shoes with opaque stocks.

4.  Creating hotch potch of accessories:

Wearing too much accessories doesn’t seems good.  Neon accessories are a top buy these days but that does not mean that you should make everything neon. These funky colors should be enjoyed with a little tinge that sort of outshines its presence and make your subtle outfit standout.

5.  Heavy make up:

Applying make-up is also an art. Heavy make-up can mess up all your efforts. Application of light eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss is enough for everyday make-up. You can make use of lip colors, blush, shimmer, and eye-liner if it is some special occasion such as weddings, birthday bashes or evening parties. Most women make mistakes while doing facial make-up. They end up doing heavy make-up which is not required. Heavy make up don’t make you look beautiful. While putting on make-up, give importance to one area at a time. If you want prominent eye make-up then avoid using heavy lipstick shades. If you want alluring lips then end your eye make-up with the application of mascara.

6.  Wearing skinny jeans

Everybody wears skinny jeans to enhance their shape because it’s so fashionable right now, but it doesn’t suit on those who are fat.  Healthy women should avoid wearing skinny jeans.

7.  Scrunches:

Because scrunches went out of fashion. Wearing one only emphasizes your need for a makeover, not a raise. Bows, or ribbons tied into bows, also fall into this particular don’t. Ribbons in your hair are appropriate for the seventh grade cheerleading squad and other teenage displays of team unity but not professional.  There’s nothing a scrunches can do that an ouchless hair elastic band can’t. Other options for pulling your hair back? Bobby pins, clips, headbands, hair scarves even a hat, if u want to look casual enough.
