An all-time blockbuster, ‘Dabangg’ had put Salman in a different bracket altogether as it netted 140 crores just from India, hence finding itself in the second place after ‘3 Idiots; which netted over 200 crores and stays on to be the biggest grosser ever in the history of Bollywood cinema. The makers of ‘Ready’ are not saying it yet but the plans are already being put together to make the Salman Khan-starrer so huge that it goes on to break the record of the superstar’s last release ‘Dabangg’. “Ready would be seeing a massive release for itself. Leaving aside the fact that crores have been kept aside for the promotion and marketing of the film, there is also an excessive print demand already due to which it would be arriving at an unheard number of screens,” says a reliable trade source, “Dabangg itself was so huge that it had been released at 1,404 cinemas. Needless to say, this number would be left behind by ‘Ready’ with a huge margin.” When contacted, Bhushan Kumar, the film’s producer, didn’t deny massive plans that had been put together for ‘Ready’. “Yes, we will be going bigger than ‘Dabangg’ for sure. ‘Ready’ will be arriving at a far greater print count and we definitely have an advantage of solo release as well an open slate ahead in the month of June,” he says. He denies doing anything extraordinary or out of the way though. “It is a trend to have the release of a big film to be huger than the last one. It is an automatic cycle and it would be improper on my part to say that meri release toh sabse badi hai,” he remarked. ‘Ready’ is bigger than ‘Dabangg’. Seems that was a subtle way of starting a creating buzz for Sallu’s next as well.
